Update: Pam And Jim Weren’t In Love IRL

Last week, Jenna Fischer appeared on Watch What Happens Live and said that she and John Krasinski were really, seriously in love when they played Jim and Pam. “There is a real part of me that’s Pam and a real part of him that’s Jim,” Fischer said. “And those parts of us were genuinely in love with one another.”

Unfortunately, Krasinski has chimed in with a correction, telling the Daily Beast, “Um, actually, love is dead, sorry not sorry to ruin everything.” OK, those weren’t his words exactly. Here’s what he said:

“I think that was wildly misquoted or taken out of context. I’m sure she was trying to say something nice about how genuine the acting relationship was, of bringing a relationship that became that popular onscreen — and I think we both feel it’s such an honor to be a part of that relationship. As far as how she was quoted about saying we were ‘genuinely in love,’ I think that was taken wildly out of context and I feel bad for her.”

Ha! He feels bad for her. Maybe he should also feel bad for the hundreds of thousands of people whose hearts he just carelessly crumbled to bits.
