B.o.B. Responds To Neil deGrasse Tyson’s Schooling About The Flat Earth With A Diss Track
Over the weekend, Atlanta rapper B.o.B. went on a multi-tweet rant about how the earth is really flat, only to be shut down by esteemed astrophysicist and intelligent human being Neil deGrasse Tyson, who patiently explained to him that no, sir, the earth is not flat. He also included this cute little bloop and effectively reaffirmed my belief that he is the coolest celebrity astrophysicist in the entire world.
You’d think that his word would be the last, but! B.o.B. hopped in the studio and released a diss track, mercifully sparing the world from another Twitter novella defending his relatively indefensible stance. The track is called “Flatlines”, it’s not that bad, and it samples Neil deGrasse Tyson in an interview explaining that Earth is more pear-shaped than perfectly spherical.
I urge everyone who believes that the earth is flat to step away from Twitter and head right into the studio. Diss tracks are now the only appropriate way to respond to rational scientific thought. We eagerly await Neil deGrasse Tyson’s fire bars.
