NASA Shows Us Blizzard Jonas From Space

Massive blizzard Jonas arrived and dumped itself all over the Northeastern United States covering Washington D.C. and New York City with over two feet of snow in some areas and 30 inches at the highest point in Virginia on Saturday afternoon.

Yours truly is stuck inside as NYC Mayor De Blasio has encouraged residents to stay indoors until Sunday afternoon. So while we’re all stuck here contracting cabin fever, let’s see what this insanity looks like from space shall we?

But the truly gripping shots came from NASA’s Scott Kelly from the space station via Twitter, including a rare spotting of thunder snow!

All I see out of my window is a barren white apocalypse, which I have to say is pretty gorgeous from here on Earth.
