The Cure For The Winter Blues Is Definitely Frozen Pants

When it comes to coping with a brutal winter, it makes sense to look to Minnesotans for advice. As a result of experiencing the worst of it, a Minneapolis man figured out that the best way to deal with it was freezing his pants (off).

ABC first reported that Tom Grotting was the man behind all those invisible men (and shirtless women) in frozen slacks. He wanted to lift the spirits of his neighbors during the extreme cold. Grotting found our that simply soaking his pants in water and hanging them until they froze accomplished this.

““I mostly do it for my neighbor, Diane,” he told ABC News. “The winter gets a little long and she doesn’t like winter very much so it’s mostly entertainment for Diane.”

Hopefully Diane is happy with his work, because everyone else is. The trend is spreading beyond Minnesota, to any area in need of a seasonal depression antidote. So whether you’re prepping for Winter Storm Jonas or just a cold few days, consider adding another item to your list of essentials: plenty of spare pants.
