No One’s Bothered To Correct Jeb Bush For Calling Malia Obama “Malala”
On Tuesday, America’s sad baby brother Jeb Bush spoke at an event called the Council on Foreign Relations, in an attempt to maybe demonstrate just how much he knows about foreign relations and demonstrate just how ready he is for the highest office in the land. Instead of demonstrating any competency, he called Malia Obama “Malala.”
While recounting a charming story about how Michelle Obama blew off a summit between President Obama and Chinese President Xi Jinping, accompanied by First Lady Peng Liyuan and how this was offensive to the Chinese, Bush said:
“And every meeting I had in Beijing started out for the first 10 minutes started out lambasting me about why it was, as an American, why it was that we insulted China. And I’m thinking, you know what, it could be that Mrs. Obama was worried about the science project of Malala.”
Dude. Apparently, this isn’t the first time he’s done this, as evidenced by this incident, from January 5th.
Sir. Malia Obama is the eldest daughter of President Obama. Malala Yousafzai won a Nobel Peace Prize in 2014. They are two very famous and very different young women. Someone come get Jeb, please. He needs a nap.
