Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising Doesn’t Look Nearly As Terrible As You Think It Would

Do what you will with this information: Neighbors, starring Seth Rogen, Rose Byrne and Zac Efron and his  rippling abs, about a quiet family and the rowdy frat bros that move in next door, is a good movie. It’s a fine movie. You think you’ll hate it, but trust me, go watch it and, really, it’s not that bad.

Lots and lots of other people agreed with this possibly controversial statement, because it’s getting a sequel. The twist here? The quiet family is being tortured and terrorized by a bunch of sorority girls who want to party all the goddamn time because they’re feminists, goddammit.

In Neighbors 2; Sorority Rising, three college students (Chloe Grace Moritz, Kersey Clemons and Beanie Feldstein) are mad that fraternities are legally allowed to throw parties, but sororities aren’t. So, they start Kappa Nu, an off-campus sorority, and move into the house right next to Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne, who are looking to sell their house. The sorority proves to be somehow worse than the frat, and so the only way to flush this out? Zac Efron and his pecs, natch.

“They’re using their sexuality as a weapon!” Seth Rogen says, as girls in bikinis fling their bodies upon his car. This looks like just the thing to watch by yourself, in the middle of June, when it’s too hot to be outside. Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising is out May 20th.
