Girls Is Ending After Season 6, Which Feels Perfectly Fine, Honestly

Sometime before 2018(maybe?), Girls, Lena Dunham’s love letter to both a very specific part of Brooklyn and the special privilege some have in their twenties, will end. E! News reports that the HBO series’ sixth season will be its last. That’s the season after the one starting in February, in case you were as confused as I was about precisely how long this show has been on the air.

Dunham has intimated in various interviews that all good things, like Hannah Horvath and her gang of gals, must come to an end. In September, during a call in to Elvis Duran’s radio show, she said,  “It’s really exciting. I started working on this show when I was 23, and I’m going to be 30 so it kind of feels right that this show kind of sandwiched my 20s and then I go off into the world.”

You and me both, Lena!!

Whatever your feelings about this show, good or bad, I’m sure you’re in them right now. Season 5 premieres February 21st on HBO.
