Gloria Allred Defends 14-Year-Old Girl Who Was Implicated In Sex Scandal With Tyga in OK!
The December 28th issue of OK! Magazine featured a cover story, titled “TYGA IN LOVE WITH UNDERAGE TEEN.” It’s the story of a “14-year-old model” who apparently had been communicating with Tyga on Instagram. According to Jezebel, the story contained screenshots of conversations, a photo — blurry, but still — of the teen in question and a long-winding narrative about how this entire debacle “humiliated” Kylie Jenner, which makes the most sense out of all of this. The teen in question was never named until today — in a press conference led by attorney Gloria Allred.
The girl, a ninth-grader named Molly, sat next to Allred and read from a written statement, telling reporters that she’s never met Tyga and that OK! certainly did not receive the messages from her.
“Even though OK magazine pixelated my face and did not use my name, a lot of people could tell it was me,” she said. Allred alleges that OK! implied that her client had an inappropriate relationship with Tyga, who had no idea how old she was when he contacted her. The pair communicated via text messages and private messages on Instagram, the latter of which were published in OK!
‘As a result of the story and the photo, I received a lot of negative attention, not only from people in my own state but from all over the place. I don’t deserve the negative attention I have been getting as a result of this photo.
‘I would never have allowed OK Magazine or any other magazine to use them.
‘I am speaking out today because I don’t want what happened to me to happen to any other young girl.’
Speaking at the press conference, Allred demanded an apology from the magazine.“People who are not well known—who are otherwise voiceless and powerless and feeling hopeless—have a right to have their side of the story,” she said. “They have a right to do that. She is 14 years old.”
