Sarah MacLachlan Can’t Handle The Overwhelming Sadness Of Her ASPCA Commercials

Next to Cialis commercials and that one Folgers ad that rolls around every holiday season, with the possibly-maybe incestuous siblings, Sarah MacLachlan’s ASPCA commercials are absolutely horrible to watch. The dogs, crying and sad and bedraggled in their cages! That song!  I can’t watch it. And neither can Sarah MacLachlan.

According to New York,  even though MacLachlan is a “primary figure in the devastating sad-dog-face commercials,” she can’t even watch them herself. They’re too sad! Those saucer-eyed-matted-hair-fluffy-faced precious angels, waiting for you. Ugh. Sad. Very sad. Don’t just sit there, weeping inconsolably in front of your computer in a bathrobe! Do something, instead.
