Affluenza Teen Ethan Couch Detained Near Mexican Resort Town With His Mother
Affluenza victim Ethan Couch has been apprehended by Mexican officials, with his mother, Tonya, near Puerto Vallarta.
Couch, as you may recall, made national news two years ago when a judge sentenced to probation for a drunk driving incident that killed four people. The cause of his recklessness, according to testimony from a psychologist, was “affluenza” — growing up rich without any boundaries set by your parents.
According to CNN, Couch’s mother was “listed by Texas authorities as a missing person after her son’s disappearance, and the authorities said they believed she was assisting her son.” Couch has been on the lam since earlier this month and is wanted in Tarrant County, Texas for “allegedly violating parole.”
