New Jersey Judge Orders Closure Of “Gay Conversion” Center

A Jewish nonprofit center in Newark, NJ was recently sued for offering to turn gays to heterosexuals. As of Friday evening, however, on top of the suit, the center has been ordered to close down for good.

The judge’s ruling on Friday granted a permanent injunction against ‘Jews Offering New Alternatives for Healing’, known as JONAH.

In June, a Hudson County Jury awarded damages to several men who had sued JONAH, claiming that it engaged in fraud. An attorney for the men said that this decision sends a message to providers of ‘gay conversion therapy’ that the practice is fraudulent and damaging.

The group had argued in the past that it didn’t make guarantees to clients and should be allowed to offer “help” to people struggling with their sexuality. Yes, repression and “conversion” really help, don’t they!!!

Oy.
