Obama To Make First Oval Office Address Since 2010

President Barack Obama will make a televised address to the nation this evening at 8:00PM EST.

Topics are reported to include ISIS terrorist attacks and terror threats, as well as possible mention of the need for stricter gun control for citizens of the U.S. following mass shootings and the latest terrorist attack in San Bernardino, California last Wednesday.

This is a rare enough tactic, but an effective one. It was last used in August 2010 to discuss the end of combat operations in Iraq.

From the White House Press Secretary:

[The president] will reiterate his firm conviction that (ISIS) will be destroyed and that the United States must draw upon our values—our unwavering commitment to justice, equality and freedom—to prevail over terrorist groups that use violence to advance a destructive ideology.

Be sure to tune in, folks.
