Miguel On Donald Trump: Casting A Ballot For Him Would Be “Fucking Ignorant”

Miguel, sexy singer and smart cookie, is just like you. He understands that Donald Trump’s bid for the presidency is a misguided and pitiful attempt at maintaining relevancy and exerting power where he has no right, and better yet, he’s not here for it. He doesn’t know who he’s going to vote for next November, but what he does know is that “there’s a tremendous responsibility that we all have just to not be fucking ignorant.”

Your new boyfriend-who-doesn’t-know-he’s-your-boyfriend-yet spoke to NME about Trump’s upcoming “Saturday Night Live” hosting gig, and paid valuable lip service to the horrible attention economy, saying that “[Trump’s] ability to aggregate attention is valuable to a network, a business where advertising is the source of income…And that means you need as much attention as possible.”

The handsome devil also appears to have a sensible head on his shoulders when it comes to politics, which is more than we can say for, say, T.I., who would be better served not speaking his mind on politics and making trap anthems instead.

If either party wants to snatch Miguel and his fine ass up to use as a mascot to attract the Youngs, fall back: “I’m not clear on what each viable candidate standing is on the issues that matter to me yet. And I don’t vote for party, you know. When I do vote it’ll be for the candidate that wants to do something about the issues that matter to me and that’s the best thing that we can do.”

Smart, astute, political commentary from the man who wrote a song with the lyrics “I wanna push and shove and paint your hills and valley”? Hose me down, I’m here for it.
