We Were All Rooting For You: “America’s Next Top Model” Has Been Canceled By The CW

Today marks a tragic day in reality TV history, as the CW has announced that they have canceled “America’s Next Top Model,” with the show shutting down for good after the 22nd season finale in December. Somewhere, Tyra Banks is NOT smizing.

The show debuted in 2003 on the now defunct UPN, with Banks as host and Janice Dickinson, Kimora Lee Simmons and magazine editor Beau Quinlan judging the contestants’ photoshoots each week. So much happened since those days, from the rotating cast of judges (including Twiggy, Kelly Catrone, and model/photographer Nigel Barker) and ridiculous modeling tutorials (never forget Tyra’s Tooch Teach), to countless bizarre photoshoots (remember this creepy Michael Jackson-inspired one?) and a somehow ever-more-egregious commitment to fugly makeovers, and yet we never tired of it. “ANTM,” we will miss you when you are gone, but you will never be forgotten. POT LEDOM FOREVER. [TV Line]
