Amy Poehler And Jack Black Cover “The Rose” And It’s Somehow Not Awful
Oh, hey, it looks like Amy Poehler is a decent singer, while Jack Black only sounds decent when he’s hitting that sweet harmony on this fairly earnest and passable cover of Bette Midler’s “The Rose,” which went down at this weekend’s third annual Festival Supreme in Los Angeles.
Amy is pretty good! She looks like an old picture of your Aunt Sarah from high school, and she sounds like the best person at the karaoke spot. And if you can handle listening to this song without it being etched indelibly in your mind for the rest of the day, watch the video. It’s not at all terrible. [Vanity Fair]
