Michelle Obama Announces New Campaign Focusing On Girls’ Education
FLOTUS is obviously the best FLOTUS there ever was, and Saturday night she proved herself yet again.
Michelle Obama appeared in a video unveiling her 62 Million Girls campaign at the Global Citizen Festival in New York City, which also happened to star Beyoncé and Hugh Jackman.
The campaign is simple: it is an effort to provide education to girls around the world who are being prevented from doing so: FLOTUS announced via video to the crowd of adoring fans in Central Park: “Right now 62 million girls are not in school … they deserve the same chances to get an education as my daughters and your daughters.”
She also tweeted the cutest selfie ever, urging girls to tweet with what they studied in school and with the hashtag #62MillionGirls:

Girls in other nations are prevented from education due to many factors including poverty, being sold into sex slavery, being married off as a child bride, and even governmental restrictions (Remember Malala)
I love you Mo.
