Snoop Dogg Enters The Lifestyle Game With Merry Jane, A Site For Weed Enthusiasts
Snoop Dogg, weed’s best brand ambassador, is entering the celebrity lifestyle space with Merry Jane, a new site for the weed enthusiast, as announced at TechCrunch Disrupt. The site will serve as a hub for all things cannabis, from videos to editorial content, with the express purpose of educating the new-to-weed consumer and providing the already-savvy with helpful things they need to continue their lives as avid and enthusiastic stoners.
Much like any of the other celebrity lifestyle sites out there, Merry Jane’s aim is to show how pot can enhance every single aspect of the lifestyle realm.
This ranges from a cooking show, where folks can learn how to make amazing edibles (or food that pairs well with cannabis consumption), to ‘Deflowered’ (which is a show that focuses on peoples’ “first time” doing something), all the way to exclusive celebrity interviews. Snoop noted that the site will be enlisting celebrities that are “down with the team” including Seth Rogen and Miley Cyrus.
A big part of this project is busting open the doors of the marijuana closet. Look around you right now. Half the people sitting in your area probably smoke weed. That guy over there in the corner drinking coffee and scrolling through Facebook is probably high right now. That woman pushing the baby stroller is probably looking for a place where she can vape in privacy and peace. According to the man himself:
“There are so many people in the closet, and we are giving them an opportunity to come out of the closet and just admit they like to smoke. I’m a smoker, my name is Snoop Dogg, and I’m a stoner.”
