Michelle Obama Opens Special Olympics Games With Beautiful Message

First Lady Michelle Obama opened up this year’s Special Olympic World Games held in Los Angeles with a heartwarming message for the 6,500 athletes from 165 countries competing over nine days.

“My husband and I, we are so proud of you, so incredibly proud of you, and we love you all from the bottom of our hearts.” FLOTUS said.

The athletes will participate in a total of 25 sports for this event.

The history of the games comes from President John F. Kennedy’s sister Eunice Kennedy Shriver, who used to hold informal backyard competitions at home before making them an official international competition in 1968.

We are rooting for you all!
