Nicki Minaj On “Good Morning America”: “It’s Over, You Guys.”

Nicki Minaj graced the “Good Morning America” stage to do a heavily-bleeped, body roll-filled performance of “Feelin’ Myself” this morning. She also sat down with Lara Spencer to clear the air for good, hopefully, about the whole Taylor Swift Twitter middle-school social media shit show trainwreck thing that happened just three short days ago.

She and T-Swi are all good, guys. They had a chat on the phone, like adults do, and whatever Nicki said to her must have worked, because Taylor apologized and realized that she misspoke. According to Nicki, “She said ,’I didn’t understand the big picture, so now I get it.’ We’re all good.” So glad that Nicki managed to make this a teachable moment for Taylor Swift, but it sounds like someone had to do it eventually, and her #squad is probably not up to the task.

When pressed to clarify about her comments about “slim bodies,” Nicki fired back:

“I think that we just have to have all images for girls, we can’t have only one type of body being glorified in the media because it just makes girls even more insecure than we already are.”

Valid points. So, lest you try and pick through the interview, searching for hints of shade like a pig snuffling for truffles, let Nicki’s word be the end. “It takes a big person to do what Taylor did,” she said. “It was big of her. It’s over you guys.”

That’s that, then. Taylor, we hope you learned your lesson.
