Arrests Made In Chinese Uniqlo Dressing Room Porn Scandal

Remember that time last week when a video of two consenting Chinese adults having sex in a Uniqlo dressing room went viral on WeChat and Weibo? Welp, now four people have been arrested for it, including a 19-year-old who “distributed obscene materials” by uploading the video to Weibo. The man and woman who made the video are also under investigation.

Man oh man, is this something I just can’t grasp from over here in the pornography cesspit that is America. Did you know that the People’s Republic of China has completely banned pornography, period? If you make pornography and the offense is “serious,” you can face life in prison. I mean what.

Anyway, Uniqlo has continued to insist that the company and its employees had nothing to do with the video, and is continuing to ask its customers to use its dressing rooms properly. Because who knows what kind of punishment you might face for inadvertently providing a setting for a pornographic video, I guess.
