NBC Dumps Trump Over Derogatory Statement About Mexican Immigrants

Insert your own “YOU’RE FIRED” joke here – NBC has just announced that it will be cutting ties with the mogul/anthropomorphic merkin over his recent derogatory statements about Mexican immigrants in his speech announcing his candidacy for President of the United States.

Should you need a refresher, here is what he said:

“The U.S. has become a dumping ground for everybody else’s problems. When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”

In response to these comments and to the public outcry regarding them, NBC will no longer be showing the “Miss USA” and “Miss Universe” pageants on their station. Trump had already announced that, in light of all the campaigning he’s going to have to do in order to be president (because that’s totally a thing that’s going to happen), he would no longer be hosting “The Apprentice” anyway.

“At NBC, respect and dignity for all people are cornerstones of our values. Due to the recent derogatory statements by Donald Trump regarding immigrants, NBCUniversal is ending its business relationship with Mr. Trump.”

This, of course, comes on the heels of Univision saying that they wouldn’t air the pageants either, and of sales of Trump-shaped pinatas selling like gangbusters all over the country of Mexico.

We’re now just biding our time and waiting for Trump to start tweeting all about how they are all “LOSERS.”

UPDATE: Trump has now officially responded, stating that he fully stands by the idiotic and offensive comments he made, and insinuated that he will be taking NBC to court over ditching him.
