Rose McGowan Was Fired By Her Agent For Calling Out Hollywood Sexism

“Charmed” actress Rose McGowan was fired by her acting agent last night after speaking out against Hollywood sexism. While there has been no official word from her agent, it’s safe to assume that she was fired in part because of the incendiary tweet below, which is a not-so-subtle dig at Adam Sandler, putting the misogynist crap that Hollywood dishes out on blast.

Heather Matarazzo showed support for her in a series of tweets calling out the sexism that runs rampant through Tinseltown:

McGowan has been doing press for her directorial debut, “Dawn,” which is a sharp, 17-minute coming-of-age story about female identity. She’s been outspoken in interviews with Entertainment Weekly, Gawker and Indiewire about the bullshit she’s dealt with throughout her career, and rightfully so. Sexism in Hollywood is insidious, like cockroaches that scamper through the walls of your home: You know they’re there, they are disgusting, and try as you might, you just can’t get rid of them.
