Dylann Roof’s Terrifying Manifesto Has Been Discovered
The terrifying racist manifesto of mass murderer Dylann Storm Roof, the 21-year-old South Carolinian who shot nine African American people inside of Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church last week, has been discovered by Twitter users Emma Quangel and Henry Krinkle.
The manifesto was discovered on a site called “The Last Rhodesian” (please take caution when reading the text in this website, it contains very graphic hate speech). In addition to the text, there were several photographs of Roof himself, pictured mostly with the confederate flag, along with inscriptions of Neo-Nazi symbology, including references to the number 88, which white supremacists use as a code for “Heil Hitler” (H being the 8th letter of the alphabet).
The excerpts from this manifesto prove that Roof’s motivations for his mass shooting spree were entirely based on a racist hate-filled agenda.
[Content Note] On the biological basis of white supremacy, Roof writes:
“Anyone who thinks that White and black people look as different as we do on the outside, but are somehow magically the same on the inside, is delusional. How could our faces, skin, hair, and body structure all be different, but our brains be exactly the same? This is the nonsense we are led to believe. Negroes have lower Iqs, lower impulse control, and higher testosterone levels in generals. These three things alone are a recipe for violent behavior.”
It is now impossible to ignore the role that his white supremacist ideology played in these crimes.
It is time to stop calling this an isolated incident and time to start addressing the disease that is white supremacy in this nation.
