Elizabeth Warren Had The PERFECT Response To Mansplain-y JP Morgan CEO
This Wednesday, JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon thought he was being real sly when he said of Elizabeth Warren “I don’t know if she fully understands the global banking system.” You know, because she’s just a simple Harvard Law Professor who could never understand such intricacies.
This was pretty laughable, given that Warren was a bankruptcy lawyer, chaired the Congressional Oversight Panel that oversaw the bailout, created the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (but wasn’t allowed to chair it because Obama was worried it would upset the banks too much if she was), and is pretty much an expert on all things Wall Street.
On Thursday, Warren appeared on Huffington Post’s “So, That Happened,” and responded to Dimon’s ridiculousness.
“The problem is not that I don’t understand the global banking system. The problem for these guys is that I fully understand the system and I understand how they make their money. And that’s what they don’t like about me.”
Oh man. I just love her so much. She makes my heart burst, and she is exactly correct. These guys do not want anyone listening to Elizabeth Warren, and they are scared to death of her. Shero for life.
