A Glorious “Mean Girls” Cell Phone Game Is Coming To Take All Our Money

A “Mean Girls” cell phone game is on the horizon, and since Candy Crush was never really my jam, I am especially thrilled that I will finally have a comparable procrastination tool/life suck of my very own! Everything about this game is a dream come true: Its storyline is essentially a sequel to the movie, set in the aftermath of its events, and will be a “choose-your-own-adventure” experience.

Sadly, we don’t get to play the game in the shoes of the beloved characters from the movie (oh, to be Karen Smith for a day), but we do get to create our own character by enrolling at North Shore High as a senior and then spend all of our digital time interacting with the likes of Cady, Regina and Gretchen.

The storyline is written by the screenwriter of “Legally Blonde” and “10 Things I Hate About You,” so you know we’re in for something good. What your character wears and who they hang out with impacts where the game takes them (and probably their social strata, because this is Plastics country), so prepare your bank account for the sea of drunken in-app purchases you will soon hate yourself for.
