Amy Schumer’s Appearance On “The Bachelorette” Proved That Amy Schumer Should BE “The Bachelorette”

You know what makes “The Bachelorette” infinitely more tolerable? Comedian Amy Schumer, cutting through the bullshit and bringing the laughs. Amy is a hardcore fan of the “Bachelor/Bachelorette” franchise and an admitted fangirl for Kaitlyn Bristowe, who she says she likes more than any other “Bachelorette” in the show’s history. I can’t speak for Amy, at least not until I make her my BFF, but I’m guessing that, like me, she finds Kaitlyn’s raunchy sense of humor and forthrightness about her insecurities to be especially relatable.

So anyway, Amy was an obvious choice for celeb guest on what has become a go-to group date activity — the infamous “make a bunch of utterly unfunny normals perform standup comedy” group date! Amy was on hand to advise the dudes on how to execute a great joke, and, boy, they needed the coaching as much as the audience needed Amy’s assessment of painfully smug douchenozzle JJ: “He’s just missing, like, charisma and humility and sense of humor. Maybe when he sees the show he’ll reflect on himself and not be such a turd.” Watch above!

But seriously, can Amy Schumer please be the next “Bachelorette”? She’s hilarious and smart and SINGLE, would show 25 hunky dudes a good time, and would guarantee that Chris Harrison isn’t lying when he declares that it to be the most exciting season in “Bachelorette” history.
