Federal Judge Rules Again That Alabama’s Same-Sex Marriage Ban Is Unconstitutional

U.S. Disctrict Judge Callie Granade has reaffirmed her ruling that gay couples must be allowed to get married in the state of Alabama. Which probably comes as a disappointment to Chief Justice Roy Moore, who really, really, really hates the idea of gay people getting married in his state.

In March, Moore decided that after several weeks of probate judges marrying same-sex couples, that he needed to order them to stop.

However, Judge Granade has agreed to put the ruling on hold until the Supreme Court makes it’s final decision on the matter this summer, so as not to put judges in the position of either disobeying her ruling or Moore’s. [TIME]
