May The Fourth Be With You! A “Star Wars” Day Roundup
NO WORDS, JUST HYPERVENTILATING AND FRANTIC HAND-CLAPPING FOR THE ABOVE “STAR WARS” TRAILER AND THE LOVE OF MY LIFE, HAN SOLO.
Ahem. Um. Sorry about that.
Today is “Star Wars” Day! May the Fourth be with you! (Now just the Catholics: “And also with you.”) Like me, the whole rest of the internet is having a “Star Wars” boner, and rightly so, because it is the best trilogy of all time. “Star Wars” video games are apparently a major topic of discussion, which I understand and all, since the Super NES Return of the Jedi game is one of the best video games I have every played in my entire life. Which means that Kotaku, with its in-depth discussion of Dark Forces, is just wrong, with all due respect. TIME has a loose ranking, and the Daily Dot has an illustrated history of “Star Wars” games.
CNN has a photo gallery of “Star Wars” Day celebrations around the world, while Vanity Fair has a behind-the-scenes video of Annie Leibovitz on the set of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” and pictures of Adam Driver and Lupita Nyong’o for the magazine’s upcoming cover story. The Daily Dot profiled enthusiast Jason Ward, whose fan site has been unintentionally leaking spoilers about the new movie to news sites.
In fun stuff: Amazon has a Deal of the Day on “Star Wars” merchandise, you really really have to check out these “Girls”/”Star Wars” mashup GIFs from Mashable, here’s a video of ladies doing equally enthusiastic impressions of “Star Wars” sounds and characters with varying degrees of success, and a timelapse of a Millenium Falcon being built out of Legos.
And finally, for some Monday motivation, a Han Solo gif regarding how you should attack your week:
