Madison, Wisconsin Bans Discrimination Against Atheists And Non-Religious

In a break from states who are protecting religious freedoms, Wisconsin’s most liberal city, Madison, has made a decision to protect the non-religious from discrimination.

The city council voted the law in (in what is believed to be the first of its kind) earlier this month protecting atheists and the non-religious from discrimination in the areas of employment, housing and public accommodations.

Bravo! I am glad this kind of law was enacted, though I am sad that it has to happen at all. Isn’t freedom of religion (or lack thereof) part of our constitution? In any case, I’m glad all of the heathens, me included, can be protected from banishment. Thanks Madison!
