Russian Women Jailed For Twerking In Front Of WWII Monument

Twerking and WWII commemoration probably don’t mix so well but who are we to judge?

Six women were arrested on Saturday following the release of a video of them performing dance routine that just happened to involve some twerking and just happened to be right in front of some WWII monuments in southern Russia. Welp.

The women will serve between 10-15 days in jail for their dancing, the charge being “petty hooliganism.”

Next month will be the Soviet Union’s 70th anniversary of the war’s end, and Moscow plans to celebrate in an epic fashion. I don’t see why these women weren’t just trying to show their patriotism by twerking near some monuments as part of the celebration.

What do you think?
