Indiana Pizzeria Owners In Hiding After Anti-Gay Comments

Indiana’s new Religious Freedom Restoration Act has thankfully been amended to specify that discrimination will not be protected, but the damage has been done. That pizzeria-owning couple, Kevin and Crystal O’Conners — who vowed, “If a gay couple came in and wanted us to provide pizzas for their wedding, we would have to say no” — are now in hiding after getting “attacked” online because of their bigotry. Good, stay away. But to top off this absurd story, the O’Conners have raised $500,000 from around 18,000 supporters who stand behind their stance against gay marriage. I guess Memories Pizza is about looking back on a time when everyone was closeted, miserable and the world was even worse? Enjoy those memories in seclusion, hateful nut cases. [Guardian]
