Michael Jackson Pranked Russell Crowe For Years

As you slog your way through the myriad not-yet-April Fools’ Day pranks that plague this nation, revel in this: no one has ever pranked someone better than Michael Jackson pranked Russell Crowe, and he did it for years.

In an interview with The Guardian, Crowe revealed that despite having never met Jackson, the singer continued the longest-running Dad joke prank in the history of pranks:

“For two or three fucking years,” he says. “I never met him, never shook his hand, but he found out the name I stayed in hotels under, so it didn’t matter where I was, he’d ring up do this kind of thing, like you did when you were 10, you know. ‘Is Mr Wall there? Is Mrs Wall there? Are there any Walls there? Then what’s holding the roof up? Ha ha.’ You’re supposed to grow out of doing that, right?”

As Defamer noticed, this isn’t the first time that Crowe has grumbled about the pranking that came at the hands of the King of Pop. Back in 2012, he revealed to the Sun that Jackson would also call him and tell him there was an emergency and he needed to leave the building. Luckily, Jackson is also the King of Courtesy and would make sure to remind Crowe before he fled from his building, “Do not worry Russell, just kidding, this is Michael.”

This is Michael.
