Thousands Gather To Protest Indiana’s Religious Freedom Law

Yesterday, thousands gathered outside of the Indiana state house to protest the Religious Freedom Restoration Act that has rocked the state and the country. This “religious freedom” law could (and will) lead to discrimination of the LGBTQ community. In basic terms, you can now essentially and legally discriminate against someone from the LGBTQ community because of your religious beliefs.

This is so wrong and so baffling on so many levels; starting with businesses refusing to serve you if you are not heterosexual, to a lawsuit being overturned since you’ll now be able to cite religious beliefs as a defense. This is a law that will protect discrimination based on sexual orientation and identity and it is a violation of human rights. This is one more example of the far right of America turning against those who are vulnerable and it needs to end. [Indy Star]
