Amanda Knox’s Murder Conviction Has Been Overturned

  • An Italian court has overturned the murder conviction against Amanda Knox, and there is no longer a possibility that she’ll be extradited to Italy to serve more prison time. She and ex-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito were convicted of murder when her roommate, Meredith Kercher, was stabbed to death in 2007 in Perugia, Italy. Knox, an America, was in a study abroad program at the time. She served four years in prison, and her conviction was overturned in 2011. [Newsweek]
