Former NFL Player Darren Sharper Now Wanted in Four States for Raping Instead of Just Three
Darren Sharper, a retired NFL safety who played for the Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, and New Orleans Saints, was charged with two counts of sexual assault for drugging and raping two female tourists in Las Vegas, Nevada, back in January 2014.
The latest charges join a long line of drug-and-rape accusations under Sharper’s belt: he’s accused of drugging and raping three women in New Orleans in 2013, and drugging three women and sexually assaulting two in Arizona later in 2013, and is currently in jail in California for drugging and sexually assaulting two women in Los Angeles in 2013. Busy year! According to Las Vegas police officials, these charges follow the same pattern as the previous accusations against Sharper in those other states: Sharper allegedly invites the women to go club-hopping with him and takes them back to his hotel room, before drugging and raping them.
A warrant is out for the safety’s arrest in Las Vegas. Sharper retired from the NFL in 2010 after 14 years, ostensibly to devote more time to his off-field activities of being a disgusting prick. [ESPN]
