New Ad Campaign Erases Women From Media To Prove Gender Inequality

Unveiled yesterday on International Women’s Day, this new video, called “Not There” by the No Ceilings Project, shows the ways in which women are still not fairly reflected in terms of leadership, media representation, and more. The video shows various recognizable ad campaigns, minus the visual presence of the famous women who were originally in them them.

The video uses some humor to make its point, like that women make 77 cents to the dollar earned by men, but keep in mind that women of color receive even less than that. If you make a video about invisibility, I think talking about the most invisible among us would be wise! [YouTube]
