“Walking Dead” Town For Sale On Ebay

Hey! Are you super into “The Walking Dead”? Do you have a spare $680,000? Well then, how would you like to own pretty much the entire town of Grantville, Georgia, where some of the scenes in season three of the show were filmed? Because that is now a possibility!

Nine buildings comprising the main commercial center of the town have gone up for sale on Ebay, and it seems like a pretty good deal.

I mean, $680,000 will get you a condo elsewhere, but here I don’t know if buying them means that you would literally get to own the town or declare yourself queen or king or mayor or sheriff or what have you, or what owning these buildings would really entitle you to, but if you are a collector of memorabilia or think you can turn the town into a zombie tourist trap, this may be a good investment for you.

They’re also pretty cute, if you ask me. You know, for a place formerly overrun with zombies.

The properties are currently owned by former mayor Jim Sells, who bought them during the recession, remodeled them, and now hopes to turn a tidy profit. Most of the towns original residents left in the 70s and 80s when the textile mills closed, but there has been a lot of interest in using the town as a filming location for major movie studios, because all of life is but a Bobbie Gentry song.
