GOP Rep Who Owned Blow-Me.com (Shockingly) Accused Of Sexual Harassment

Texas Representative Blake Farentgold (R-Molasses Swamp) would probably most like to be remembered for the rousing speeches he gave, demanding Obama’s impeachment, to rapt crowds of up to eight people at a time. However, it seems he may now be known for his hobby of cybersquatting on domain names like “blow-me.org” and sexually harassing the women on his staff.

Lauren Greene, Farenthold’s former communications director, is suing the Congressman for gender discrimination, sexual harassment, creating a hostile work environment, and then firing her for complaining. Greene asserts that another staffer informed her that Farenthold regularly told her that he had “sexual fantasies” and “wet dreams” about her (Greene) and that his behavior around her was far from what one would consider appropriate for a sitting United States Congressman.

Via Politico:

“Farenthold regularly drank to excess, and because of his tendency to flirt, the staffers who accompanied him to Capitol Hill functions would joke that they had to be on ‘red head patrol to keep him out of trouble,’” Greene’s complaint alleges. “On one occasion, prior to February 2014, during a staff meeting at which [Greene] was in attendance, Farenthold disclosed that a female lobbyist had propositioned him for a ‘threesome.’”

According to Greene, Bob Haueter, Farenthold’s chief of staff, “belittled” her and shut her out of senior staff meetings.

“On June 10, 2014, in response to Haueter’s complaint about [Greene’s] shirt … which Haueter claimed was transparent and showed [Greene’s] nipples, Farenthold told [another woman staffer] that [Greene] could show her nipples whenever she wanted to,” Greene’s complaint asserts.

Greene says that after she complained to Farenthold about his behavior, she claims she was “marginalized and undermined” by him and then fired a few weeks later.

Farenthold, unsurprisingly, denies the accusations. I’m gonna go ahead and say I believe her, because that shit is too weird to make up. Also because of this:

I do not, however, believe for one second that there were any female lobbyists propositioning Rep. Farenthold for a threesome. [Politico]
