Bill Cosby’s Daughter Evin Thinks Rape Accusers Should Go Prison
“Rape is a serious allegation and it is suppose to be taken VERY seriously but so is Falsely accusing someone. When someone rapes a person they go to prison. THAT should also happen to the person that has wrongfully accused an innocent victim. They are not ONLY destroying innocent people’s life they are ALSO making it hard for the MEN and Women to find justice when they have been raped.’
Sigh. It seems that Camille Cosby is not the only one barely treading water in the Sea of Denial. Bill Cosby’s daughter Evin Cosby has apparently been quite vocal on Facebook about the seemingly never-ending sexual assault allegations against her dad. I do empathize with her in that I can only imagine how horrifying it must be to learn that so many women are accusing your father of such awful, heinous acts. I mean, the accusations have been tough to swallow for those who looked up to fictional Heathcliff Huxtable as a father figure — imagine if the man who played Cliff is your real-life father? That is a terrible thing for a child, grown or not, to wrap their brain around.
With that being said!
This recent tweet, above, must be called out. For starters, rapists often do not go to prison. Many, many, many, many don’t (including, so far, Bill Cosby). Secondly, just because a rapist is not found guilty, or even charged, or even reported, doesn’t mean that a rape didn’t occur and that the accuser is lying. False rape accusations are incredibly rare, and while I certainly feel for those individuals who have been falsely accused of rape, I still don’t believe that their accusers warrant the same punishment as people who did, in fact, commit sexual assault.
I think it is a damn shame, and incredibly telling, that Evin and her mother have seemingly been sent in to defend Cosby while he remains all but mute on the subject. Such an arrogant coward. [Mediaite]
