Is The Museum Of Natural History’s Origami Tree Beautiful Or What?
The American Museum of Natural History in NYC’s annual origami tree is now up and running. Each year’s creation has a theme that resonates with the museum’s collections or features, and this year is all about the “Night At The Museum” movies, with origami models of artifacts from the movie that can be found in the museum. Origami artists both in New York and around the world expertly folded the models for the tree. I’m pretty sure that if I saw this tree as a kid my 8-year-old self would have been speechless, but even as a grown-up I’m awestruck. Something tells me I’ll be making a trip uptown to see it in person this year. After the jump, a few photos of the tree in full! [Images via AMNH/R. Mickens]
