Janice Dickinson Says She Was Raped By Bill Cosby

Former supermodel Janice Dickinson has come forward as yet another alleged victim of comedian Bill Cosby. Dickinson told “Entertainment Tonight” that she was in rehab in 1982 when Cosby reached out to her and offered to fly her to Lake Tahoe. (The two had initially met to discuss a possible role on “The Cosby Show.”) Dickinson says that after the two had dinner, Cosby gave her a glass of wine and what she thought was a pain pill for her period cramps. Her description of what she next recalls is detailed and sickening:

“The next morning I woke up, and I wasn’t wearing my pajamas, and I remember before I passed out that I had been sexually assaulted by this man. … Before I woke up in the morning, the last thing I remember was Bill Cosby in a patchwork robe, dropping his robe and getting on top of me. And I remember a lot of pain. The next morning I remember waking up with my pajamas off and there was semen in between my legs.”

Dickinson says she and Cosby never discussed the assault, but that she wrote about it in the initial draft of her 2002 autobiography, No Lifeguard on Duty: The Accidental Life of the World’s First Supermodel. Cosby’s lawyers pressured her and her publisher, Harper Collins, to remove the story from the book. She says she’s coming forward now to stand in solidarity with the over a dozen other women who have accused Cosby of rape and sexual assault.

“I’m doing this because it’s the right thing to do, and it happened to me, and this is the true story,” she told “ET.” “I believe all the other women.” She went on:

“Stuffing feelings of rape and my unresolved issues with this incident has drove me into a life of trying to hurt myself because I didn’t have counsel and I was afraid. I was afraid of the consequences. I was afraid of being labeled a whore or a slut and trying to sleep my way to the top of a career that never took place.”

Asked what she would like to say to Cosby now, Dickinson didn’t mince words. “How dare you. Go fuck yourself. How dare you take advantage of me. And I hope you rot.”

It remains to be seen whether Cosby, who has remained disgustingly and pathetically mum on the subject, will deign to acknowledge the new and mounting accusations against him. [Entertainment Tonight]
