Whoopi Goldberg Doesn’t Believe Bill Cosby’s Rape Accuser

  • Whoopi Goldberg is doubting Barbara Bowman’s accusation that Bill Cosby assaulted her when she was 17 — no matter that over a dozen women have come forward with similar allegations. When the subject came up on “The View,” Goldberg was all about the victim blaming: “Quite honestly, you know, look, I’m sorry, having been on both sides of this where people allege that you do something, it doesn’t matter now. The cat is out of the bag, people have it in their heads. I have a lot of questions for the lady. Maybe she’ll come on … I hope that there is justice for this lady. I hope somebody gets to the bottom of this, but I’m going to reserve my judgment because I have a lot of questions, as I said. It’s crazy, but I have a lot of questions, because I know we all have friends who have gone through this.” Excuse me while I vom as Goldberg uses her public platform to discourage victims from ever coming forward again. Also, when was the last time a celebrity was accused of something and Whoopi didn’t come rushing to their defense? [Death and Taxes]
