This Vintage Pin-Up Runway Show Is The Stuff Fashion Dreams Are Made Of

This year’s Lingerie Fashion Week in New York coincided with the 75th anniversary of the invention of nylon stockings, and the pin-up inspired lingerie line Secrets In Lace celebrated with a vintage runway show and burlesque performance. From the sounds of it, the show was the kind of fashion celebration vintage dreams are made of — models walked the runway to live jazz music, burlesque star Angie Pontani performed, and a host of curvy models rocked Dita Von Teese’s nylon line, which is manufactured on the machines that created the original nylon stockings of the 1940s. It’s so refreshing to see a fashion show that highlights the female body as is without the body image-crushing restrictions of most modern runways.
