Couple Gets Married On An Airplane, Cuteness Ensues

Here’s a life dream status situation or a wedding disaster depending on your travel preferences – couple Dottie Coven and Keith Stewart married in the middle of a Southwest Airlines flight. Coven and Stewart travel regularly for work, so they pooled their many frequent flier miles to get themselves and 30 wedding guests onto a flight from Nashville to Dallas. The 100 other unsuspecting passengers on the 737 had no idea they were about to attend a wedding until they received an extra boarding pass that described the event. Their departure gate was decorated, a band played, and the couple got their own Southwest-sponsored hashtag. Onboard, the couple had a flower girl on hand to pass out peanuts down the aisle. They even got to hang out in the cockpit which, as we know, is a coveted rare treat these days. After the wedding, Southwest gave the couple a free flight to Puerto Rico for their honeymoon. Do you think this is romantic or a total nope? I happen to love the commercial travel experience, even the parts of it that most people hate, so I might be into this. That said, when I picture “airplane wedding” I definitely imagine some kind of vintage private plane that’s more aesthetically pleasing and personal. Either way, Coven and Stewart look happy and adorable, so apparently it was the perfect choice for them! [Cosmopolitan, USA Today] [Images via Q Avenue Photo]
