Teenage Girl Stabs Mother In Another Slender Man-Inspired Attack

Seriously, what is going on? Just a week after two 12-year-old girls attempted to murder a classmate as an appeal to the fictional internet character Slender Man, a woman from Hamilton, Ohio, claims that she was recently attacked with a knife by her 13-year-old daughter — and that the child was obsessed with Slender Man as well. According to Raw Story:

“I came home one night from work and she was in the kitchen waiting for me and she was wearing a mask — a white mask,” the woman said. “She had her hood up and had her hands covered with her sleeves and the mask.”

“She was someone else during that attack,” the mother added.

The anonymous woman sustained minor injuries including cuts on her neck, face and a puncture wound on her back. Apparently, her daughter had suffered from mental health issues for awhile, and her journal entries were dark, mentioning demons, killing, and, yes, Slender Man. The victim told WLWT:

“We found things that she had written and she made reference to Slender Man. She also made references to killing. She even created a world for Slender Man in the game Minecraft.”

Authorities say that the teen girl is being held in a juvenile detention center and that she claims to not remember attacking her mother.
