Lana Del Rey Is More Interested In "Intergalactic Possibilities" Than Feminism

“For me, the issue of feminism is just not an interesting concept … Whenever people bring up feminism, I’m like, god. I’m just not really that interested. … I’m more interested in, you know, SpaceX and Tesla, what’s going to happen with our intergalactic possibilities.”

Of all the dumb reasons various famous women have given for why they don’t identify as feminists or care about feminism, this one from Lana del Rey has got to be my absolute favorite. First of all, I love space — I’m going to see Neil deGrasse Tyson speak tonight, squee! — but I also love feminism and I’m so glad that there’s enough room in my heart for both and I don’t have to choose. Secondly, can we take a breather from asking every female celeb on the planet for their thoughts on feminism and instead ask them for their feelings on Tesla? Just to mix things up. [The Fader]
