Frisky Reader Revealed: Yes We Can With Billieanne!

Hands down, the best thing about working at The Frisky is our amazing readers. We so heart all of your witty, thoughtful, and informative comments — heck, we even appreciate the mean ones. Sometimes, we can’t help but wonder about the faces behind the avatars. So we decided to bring back our regular column where we learn all about a Frisky reader. After the jump, meet Billieanne!

(And if you’re interested in being featured as a Reader Revealed, shoot me an email with “Reader Revealed” in the subject line!)

Please state your name or avatar, age, and  location for The Friskyverse.

Billieanne, 20 (I’ll be 21 in June, though), and I live in Virginia.

How did you find the site?

When I was in high school, I used to read Yahoo News all the time, which lead me to a site called Divine Caroline. I started reading their stuff, and they featured a lot of articles from The Frisky which I found more interesting. So I just started reading The Frisky almost everyday when I was in high school from then on out.

What do you do all day, other than follow The Frisky, which is totally condoned?

I work at a dog kennel/daycare as the “Daycare Pack Leader.” Basically I get paid to play with dogs from 8 to 5. It’s pretty great.

I also work for a campaign called I Will End Sexual Violence. Our goal is to teach and remind individuals of the role they play in making our world safer for people and in ending sexual violence.

What is your fave post in recent Frisky history?

I loved Winona’s article about 10 things she’s learned from 10 years in a relationship. I’m not that great at relationships myself, so I love reading about what makes other people’s long term relationships work.

What are your pop culture guilty pleasures?

I am completely obsessed with Taylor Swift. I know every word to every song.

Can you share your most embarrassing dating story? We always share ours. It’s only fair.

Sadly enough, I can’t think of anything embarrassing off of the top of my head.

Do you consider yourself a feminist? Why or why not?

Absolutely, I’ve been a feminist ever since I was a kid and was told I wasn’t allowed to take my shirt off but my brother was. As I got older, I began to realize how bad it really was and I decided I wasn’t going to take it.

If The Frisky staff came over for dinner, what would you serve us?

Probably some really good local pizza. I’m a terrible cook.

What type of skivvies do you have on right now?

They are a mango-orange color with lace.

What is your secret talent?

I can sew. I learned how to when I kept wearing holes in my yoga pants, but I didn’t want to go out and buy another pair. So I had my brother teach me how to sew.

What’s an amazing book or movie that other Frisky readers absolutely must get their hands on right now?

The Chaos Walking trilogy by Patrick Ness is amazing. The first book is called The Knife of Never Letting Go. It’s a dystopian novel, but it’s really original and it made me think. I loved it.

Which celeb would you most want to get in bed with? Which celeb would you most want to marry?

Tom Hiddleston for both. He’s just perfect.

What’s something you hope to see more of on The Frisky?

I think you all are doing perfectly as is!
