Columbus Short (AKA Harrison On “Scandal”) Accused By Wife Of Threatening Murder/Suicide
Columbus Short, what are you doing?
The wife of the “Scandal” star — who plays Olivia Pope’s right-hand man Harrison — filed for divorce on Tuesday and accused him of threatening a murder/suicide.
According to a restraining order obtained by TMZ, an intoxicated Short and his wife, Tanee McCall, had an argument at their Los Angeles home on April 7th. He allegedly grabbed a phone out of her hands, behaved like he was going to hit her with a wine bottle, and then dumped his wine on his wife. He allegedly grabbed a knife from the kitchen, pinned her onto the couch, choked her, and said they were going to play a game of “Truth Or Truth,” while allegedly threatening to stab McCall if she lied about men he believes she’s having affairs with. Short allegedly put the knife to his wife’s throat and threatened to kill them both.
Eventually, McCall was able to escape the house. She filed for divorce on Tuesday and asked for sole custody of the couple’s two-year-old daughter, Ayala. She also has a temporary restraining order against her husband. TMZ also claims to know that Short moved out of the house under the supervision of police.
Short has had at least two other domestic violence incidents with his wife recently, as well as a recent incident when he sucker punched a man at a Los Angeles bar.
It sounds like Harrison may need to leave Pope & Associates soon while Short gets help and/or is thrown behind bars.
