Despite all of Lindsay Lohan’s countless fuck-ups, she still appears to be surrounded by entourage of sycophants. Everyone, that is, but Oprah Winfrey. Documentary filmmaker Amy Rice teamed up with OWN for a new docu-series that gives a peek behind the curtain of the troubled actress’ life.
“There’s nothing left in having a drink for me…There’s no party that I haven’t gone to, there’s no person that I haven’t hung out with, there’s no situation that, you know, I haven’t been exposed to,” Lilo crows in the trailer’s opening sequence, more like a 77-year-old than a 27-year-old.
From there we see the dramatic shenanigans we’ve come to expect of the starlet: throwing temper tantrums, getting locked out of her apartment, making the crew wait for hours, and fighting with daddy, Michael Lohan.
“Is Lindsay still sober?” asks the documentarian of “sober coach.” He replies with a noncommittal shrug.
Meanwhile, everyone seems to be walking on eggshells and enabling Lindsay to keep listening to the voice in her head that tells her, “Oops! Time to sabotage.”
“This is exactly what everyone said was going to happen and I believed differently,” complains Oprah, on the way to have a come to Jesus meeting with Lindsay. “She doesn’t understand…this is your LIFE.”
Oprah seems to be the one person who’s not willing to put up with Lilo’s crap. “You need to cut the bullshit. You really do,” she says, giving her the ultimatum we’ve all been dreaming of.
“Lindsay” premiere’s March 9th on OWN. It can’t be anything but riveting.
