Ellen Page Comes Out As Gay In Amazingly Beautiful Speech

"I am here today because I am gay."

Last night, actress Ellen Page, best known for her roles in “Juno” and “Inception,” came out as a gay woman in a speech at the Human Rights Campaign’s Time to Thrive Conference in Las Vegas. In the beautiful eight-minute-long speech above, Page told the crowd that she is “tired of lying by omission” and says she’s coming out now because of the “social responsibility” she has to stand up for others. The entire speech is incredibly moving and I highly recommend taking the time to watch it.
